Today - she even got knocked out of the kingdom without getting her 60 gem chance and then I said I'd pay $10 and it didn't allow her the last choice but gave her something nonsense for it. After all, we are talking VIRTUAL toys (characters) - it costs them nothing really - except the cost to keep up the site and programming to have it work. Disney is so very very rich - this is pathetic - going after young kids and inducing them to keep gambling and paying for what they don't end up getting. I think there may be an algorithm whereby after you've thrown a certain amount of money at a "pack" they allow you to get a main character or more. Otherwise she saves up 60 gems by doing various tasks and gets one shot at it which tends to be disappointing. My 10 year old loves being on it but gets hysterical when I allow her $10 for 6 tries at a "pack" - like Beauty & the Beast and she just gets like 5 pieces of the same furniture and maybe one character she didn't want. If this app were more honest - if, for instance, like other apps you just paid like $10/month and everything came with it - or if even you could pay $10 and it would just give you a group of characters then I could see recommending it for it's creativity. If you are reading this, just remember it's just a suggestion to think through and that it can be great to try for this year.
